General Requirements

- Residency: New residents must obtain an Arkansas license within 30 days of becoming a resident

- Other: Learner's permit must be held for at least 6 months before applying for intermediate license. Intermediate license holders under 18 must be supervised by a licensed driver 21+ for the first 6 months. No serious traffic violations or accidents allowed in the 6 months prior to upgrading license. Intermediate license holders cannot drive between 11pm-4am without supervision. Full license requires being violation-free for 12 months. Cell phone use prohibited for all drivers under 18.
