General Requirements

- Residency: Must provide at least one proof of Oklahoma residency document (two proofs required for REAL ID)
- Parental consent: Required for applicants under 18 years old
- Other: For learner permit holders under 18 seeking an intermediate license: must hold permit for at least 6 months, complete at least 50 hours of supervised driving (including 10 hours at night), have no traffic convictions, and pass the driving skills test. Driver education is required for those under 16, optional for those 16 and older. Adults 18+ can apply directly for unrestricted license after passing required tests or can get a learner permit first (must hold for 30 days before taking road test).
